Collection: Franklin 240V Three-Wire Bore Pumps

Franklin 240V Three-Wire Bore Pumps

Shop Franklin Electric 240V three-wire submersible bore pumps supplied as complete pump, motor and starter-box assemblies.

Designed for domestic water supply, stock watering, tank filling, irrigation and rural water transfer, the range provides greater motor and pumping-head options than the Franklin two-wire range.

Available nominal flow ranges extend from 18 to 270 litres per minute, with different motor sizes and stage configurations available to suit varying water levels, elevations, pipework and pressure requirements.

Complete Assemblies Include

  • Franklin FPS 4-inch submersible pump end

  • Franklin 240V single-phase three-wire motor

  • Franklin capacitor starter box matched to the selected motor

  • Built-in check valve

  • Four-inch waterproof cable splice kit

  • Three-year Franklin Electric warranty, subject to the applicable warranty terms

A separate starter box is required to operate a three-wire motor. The correctly matched Franklin starter box is included with each complete assembly in this collection.

Available Pump Ranges

  • 18 LPM FPS-1A

  • 25 LPM FPS-1B

  • 30 LPM FPS-2A

  • 45 LPM FPS-3A

  • 60 LPM FPS-3B

  • 70 LPM FPS-4A

  • 100 LPM FPS-6A

  • 150 LPM FPS-9A

  • 200 LPM FPS-12A

  • 270 LPM FPS-16A

The 18–70 LPM models use Franklin’s standard FPS 4400 Tri-Seal hydraulic design with a 1¼-inch discharge.

The 100–270 LPM models use Franklin’s FPS 4400 High Capacity hydraulic design with a 2-inch discharge.

Optional Add-Ons

  • Submersible electrical cable in the required length and thickness

  • Pumptec or Pumptec Plus motor protection

  • Bore head or bore cap

  • Stainless-steel safety cable and cable grips

  • Water-level probes and matching protection relay

  • Kelco float switchFlow-inducer shroud or shroud adaptor where required

  • Pressure tank and pressure-control equipment

  • Plasson pipe fittings and connection components

Electrical cable is not one size fits all. It must be selected according to the motor size, total cable distance, voltage drop and installation conditions.

The included starter box provides the components required to start the three-wire motor. It should not be treated as complete dry-run, low-water-level, surge or system protection.

All electrical equipment must be installed and commissioned by a licensed electrician in accordance with Franklin Electric instructions and applicable Australian requirements.

Pump selection must be based on the required flow and total dynamic head. This includes the pumping water level, bore drawdown, vertical elevation, required outlet pressure and friction loss through the pipework, valves and fittings.

Contact The Pump Shed Australia with your bore depth, pumping water level, elevation, pipe size, pipe length, required flow and required pressure if you need assistance selecting the appropriate pump.

Important note for high-capacity ranges

Franklin states that the tabulated performance figures for certain high-capacity FPS pump ranges are based on a pump without a check valve. Where a check valve is installed or required, its pressure loss must be included when calculating the final system duty.

Website selection note

The values shown are a performance guide only and are not a substitute for complete pump selection. Actual performance depends on the bore, pumping water level, pipe size and length, elevation, fittings, valves, required outlet pressure, bore yield, power supply and installation. Confirm the required flow and total dynamic head before ordering.

Correctly selected electrical controls and motor protection are required. Included equipment varies according to the pump model, voltage and motor configuration—refer to the individual product inclusions.
