The Franklin Electric FPS-9A is a complete high-capacity 4-inch submersible bore pump package designed for applications requiring substantial water flow across moderate to high pumping heads.

Suitable for irrigation, stock watering, large tank filling, water transfer and commercial or rural water systems, the FPS-9A range has a nominal duty flow of 150 litres per minute. Five motor and stage configurations are available to suit different pumping levels, elevations and pressure requirements.

Available Variants

Increasing the number of stages increases the available pumping head. Select the correct model using the required flow and total dynamic head—not bore depth alone.

The included starter box contains the starting components required by the three-wire motor. It does not replace suitable dry-run, overload, low-water-level or surge protection.

Electrical cable must be sized according to the selected motor, total cable distance, voltage drop and installation conditions. Cable selection and electrical installation must be confirmed by a licensed electrician.

Selecting the Correct Model

Total dynamic head must account for the pumping water level, bore drawdown, vertical elevation, required outlet pressure and friction losses through the pipework, valves and fittings.

The 150 LPM rating identifies the pump family and is not a guaranteed output under every installation condition. Actual performance depends on the selected model and operating head.
