Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

Website Information

We aim to keep product descriptions, prices, photographs, availability and specifications accurate. Manufacturers may change product designs, packaging and specifications without notice.

Minor differences that do not materially affect a product’s function may occur. Please confirm any critical dimensions, compatibility or performance requirements before ordering.

Prices and GST

Unless specifically stated otherwise, website prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.

We may correct genuine pricing, description or system errors. If an error affects an order, we will contact you before dispatch. You may accept the corrected order or cancel it for a full refund.

Orders

An order is an offer to purchase. An order is accepted when we confirm acceptance or dispatch the goods.

We may decline or cancel an order where:

  • A product is unavailable

  • A price or description contains a genuine error

  • Payment cannot be verified

  • Fraud or unauthorised activity is suspected

  • Delivery cannot reasonably be completed

  • The order breaches these terms or applicable law

Any payment received for a cancelled order will be refunded.

Availability and Special Orders

Stock availability can change without notice. Some goods are ordered from or dispatched directly by suppliers.

Special-order, cut-to-length, configured and custom-package products may not be cancelled or returned for change of mind once preparation or supplier ordering has commenced.

Payments

Payment must be received and successfully processed before dispatch unless written credit terms have been approved.

Customers must be authorised to use the selected payment method and provide accurate billing information.

Shipping and Returns

Shipping, delivery, cancellations, returns and refunds are governed by our Shipping Policy and Refund and Returns Policy. These policies form part of these terms.

Pump Sizing and Product Selection

Pump sizing, flow estimates and product recommendations are based on information supplied by the customer.

Relevant information may include:

  • Bore depth and pumping water level

  • Required flow and pressure

  • Pipe diameter, type and length

  • Vertical elevation and total distance

  • Water source and water quality

  • Available voltage and electrical phase

  • Solar conditions and daily water requirements

  • Intended application and operating conditions

Incomplete or incorrect information may produce an unsuitable recommendation.

Published flow, head and pressure figures are manufacturer data measured under specified conditions. Actual performance varies with system design, friction loss, fittings, valves, elevation, power supply, installation and operating conditions.

Recommendations are general product-selection assistance and do not replace an on-site assessment or professional system design where one is required.

Installation and Electrical Work

Products must be installed, wired, commissioned and maintained correctly and in accordance with:

  • Manufacturer instructions

  • Applicable Australian Standards

  • Electrical and plumbing requirements

  • Local laws and approval conditions

Electrical, plumbing and other licensed work must be performed by an appropriately licensed person.

Incorrect installation, operation outside specifications, dry running, unsuitable power supply, water quality, unauthorised modification or misuse may cause damage and affect manufacturer warranty coverage. This does not exclude rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Safety and Suitability

Customers must ensure products are suitable for their intended application and operating environment.

Do not use a product beyond its rated pressure, temperature, voltage, flow or material compatibility. Contact us before ordering if product suitability is uncertain.

Warranties

Manufacturer warranties may apply and differ between products. Warranty periods and conditions are in addition to, and do not replace, rights under Australian Consumer Law.

We may request proof of purchase, serial numbers, installation information, photographs, testing or return of the product when assessing a claim.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Pump Shed Australia is not liable for loss caused by incorrect information supplied by the customer, improper installation, misuse, unauthorised modification or operation outside the manufacturer’s specifications.

Nothing in this section limits liability or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

Intellectual Property

Website text, branding, graphics and original content belonging to The Pump Shed Australia may not be reproduced or commercially used without permission.

Manufacturer names, trademarks, images and technical information remain the property of their respective owners.

Reviews and Submitted Content

If you submit a review, photograph or other content, you confirm that it is accurate, lawful and does not infringe another person’s rights.

We may moderate or remove unlawful, misleading, abusive or irrelevant content.

Prohibited Use
