Collection: Franklin 240V 2-Wire Bore Pumps

Franklin 240V 2-Wire Bore Pumps

Explore our range of Franklin Electric 4-inch 240V single-phase two-wire bore pumps, designed for domestic water supply, stock watering, tank filling, irrigation and general rural applications.

These are complete pump-and-motor assemblies—not pump ends only. The range covers nominal flow categories from 18 to 100 litres per minute, with motor sizes from 0.37kW to 1.1kW depending on the selected model. Each assembly includes a Franklin two-wire motor, built-in check valve and splice kit unless otherwise stated.

Franklin two-wire motors do not require a separate external motor control box, making them a practical option for many single-phase bore installations. The appropriate model must still be selected according to the required flow rate and total dynamic head—not the flow category alone.

Optional equipment available includes:

  • Submersible electrical cable in different lengths and thicknesses

  • Bore heads and caps

  • Stainless-steel safety cable

  • Pumptec and Pumptec Plus motor protection

  • Water-level probes and protection relays

  • Kelco float switches

  • Pressure tanks

  • Plasson pipe fittings and connection components

Cable size must be matched to the motor current, total cable distance, voltage drop and installation conditions. Protection equipment and accessories are optional to purchase from The Pump Shed Australia but should be selected according to the pump, application and manufacturer’s requirements.

Actual pump performance may vary depending on bore water level, drawdown, elevation, pipe size, pipe length, friction loss, pressure requirements, power supply and installation conditions. All electrical work must be completed by an appropriately licensed electrician.

Not sure which Franklin bore pump you need? Contact The Pump Shed Australia with your required flow, bore depth, pumping water level, delivery elevation, pipe details and required pressure, and we can help identify a suitable model.

Important note for high-capacity ranges

Franklin states that the tabulated performance figures for certain high-capacity FPS pump ranges are based on a pump without a check valve. Where a check valve is installed or required, its pressure loss must be included when calculating the final system duty.

Website selection note

The values shown are a performance guide only and are not a substitute for complete pump selection. Actual performance depends on the bore, pumping water level, pipe size and length, elevation, fittings, valves, required outlet pressure, bore yield, power supply and installation. Confirm the required flow and total dynamic head before ordering.

Correctly selected electrical controls and motor protection are required. Included equipment varies according to the pump model, voltage and motor configuration—refer to the individual product inclusions.
