Starter and Protection Requirements
A correctly sized three-phase starter or control panel is required and is not included with the standard pump and motor assembly.
Suitable motor overload, phase-failure, dry-run and water-level protection should be selected according to the chosen motor and installation. Electrical cable sizing and installation must be confirmed by a licensed electrician.
Choosing the Correct Bore Pump
The correct pump must be selected using the required flow and total dynamic head—not bore depth alone.
Total dynamic head includes the pumping water level, bore drawdown, vertical elevation, required outlet pressure and friction loss through the pipework, valves and fittings.
The stated LPM categories identify each pump family and are not guaranteed outputs under every installation condition. Actual performance depends on the selected model and operating head.

Important note for high-capacity ranges
Franklin states that the tabulated performance figures for certain high-capacity FPS pump ranges are based on a pump without a check valve. Where a check valve is installed or required, its pressure loss must be included when calculating the final system duty.
