The Pump Shed Australia

Franklin FPS-1B 25 LPM 415V Three-Phase Bore Pump – Complete Pump & Motor

The Franklin FPS-1B is a complete 4-inch submersible bore pump and motor assembly designed for water-supply systems requiring approximately 25 litres per minute.

Available with five different motor and stage combinations, the FPS-1B range can be matched to different bore depths, pumping levels and pressure requirements.

Available Variants

Model Motor Horsepower Stages
FPS-1B-8TS 0.37 kW 0.5 HP 8
FPS-1B-12TS 0.55 kW 0.75 HP 12
FPS-1B-16TS 0.75 kW 1 HP 16
FPS-1B-24TS 1.1 kW 1.5 HP 24
FPS-1B-32TS 1.5 kW 2 HP 32

The number in each model represents the number of hydraulic stages. Higher-stage models provide greater head and pressure while remaining within the FPS-1B’s 25 LPM flow range.

What Is Included

  • Franklin FPS-1B 4400 Tri-Seal pump end
  • Franklin 400/415V three-phase submersible motor
  • Built-in removable spring-loaded check valve
  • Four-inch waterproof splice kit
  • Three-year manufacturer’s warranty

Important – Starter/Control Panel Required

Every model requires a correctly sized three-phase starter or control panel.

The starter/control panel is not included with the pump and must be ordered separately. It must be matched to the selected motor size and installed by a licensed electrician.

Motor overload, phase-failure and dry-run protection are strongly recommended.

Key Features

  • Rated flow of approximately 25 LPM
  • Complete Franklin pump and motor assembly
  • Franklin Tri-Seal floating-stage hydraulic system
  • Designed to improve efficiency and reduce abrasive wear
  • AISI 304 stainless-steel delivery outlet and pump casing
  • Celcon impellers for efficiency and abrasion resistance
  • Abrasion-resistant Noryl diffusers and discs
  • Ceramic shaft sleeve and rubber discharge bearing
  • Built-in removable check valve
  • Suitable for water temperatures up to 49°C
  • Designed for bore, stock-water, tank-filling, irrigation and general water-supply applications

Optional Add-Ons

  • Correctly sized three-phase starter or full control panel
  • Motor overload and phase-failure protection
  • Dry-run protection
  • Water-level probes with a compatible full control panel
  • Four-core submersible electrical cable
  • Stainless-steel safety cable and cable grips
  • Bore cap or bore head
  • Rising main and associated fittings
  • Pressure gauge
  • Pressure tank and pressure controls
  • Cooling shroud where required by the installation

Cable and Electrical Installation

Electrical cable size must be determined by a licensed electrician based on the selected motor, cable length, supply voltage and allowable voltage drop.

All three-phase electrical equipment must be correctly sized, protected and installed in accordance with applicable Australian electrical requirements.

Selecting the Correct Model

The correct model depends on the required flow and the system’s total dynamic head, including:

  • Pumping water level and bore drawdown
  • Vertical lift from the bore
  • Required outlet pressure
  • Pipe diameter and total pipe length
  • Friction losses through fittings and valves
  • Additional elevation after the bore

Higher-stage models are used where greater lift or pressure is required.

The 25 LPM rating identifies the pump range and does not mean every model will deliver exactly 25 LPM under all operating conditions.

Contact The Pump Shed Australia with your bore depth, pumping water level, delivery height, pipe size and required flow if you need help selecting the correct model.

Important Performance Information

Flow rates and performance figures are based on manufacturer information and are provided as a guide only. Actual flow and pressure will vary depending on total head, bore depth and drawdown, pipe size and length, elevation, system design, fittings, valves, power supply and installation conditions.

Final pump selection should be confirmed against the manufacturer’s performance curve and the actual site requirements.

FPS-1B - 25 LPM Range

How to read the FPS-1B 415V table: Flow is shown across the top in litres per minute (LPM). Each number in the table is the approximate total head in metres that the listed FPS-1B three-phase model can produce at that flow. Only points inside the blue 13-31 LPM best-efficiency/warranty zone are shown; operation outside this zone is not covered by warranty.
