Franklin 6-Inch Submersible Pump Waterproof Cable Splice Kit

The Franklin 6-Inch Submersible Pump Waterproof Cable Splice Kit provides the components needed to create a sealed electrical connection between a compatible 6-inch submersible motor lead and the electrical drop cable running up the bore.

Designed for permanently submerged bore-pump installations, the kit uses crimp connectors, resin-filled heat-shrink tubes, mastic tape and an outer heat-shrink sleeve to protect the completed electrical joint against water ingress.

The term “6-inch” refers to the motor and installation category. It does not mean the kit will suit every cable size used with every 6-inch motor.

Installation and Selection Warning

Confirm the motor wiring arrangement, number of conductors and actual conductor size of both cables before ordering. The supplied 4 mm crimp connectors will not suit every drop-cable size used with a 6-inch motor. Larger conductors may require a different approved cable-jointing kit or connection method.

This kit creates a permanently submerged electrical joint and must be installed by a suitably qualified electrician. The joint must be correctly crimped, sealed and tested for insulation resistance, continuity and earthing before the pump is lowered into the bore.

Incorrect selection or installation can allow water into the cable joint, causing electrical failure, electric shock or permanent motor damage. Each kit is intended for one installation only.
